For him fame is a “distraction.” And he makes politically incorrect statements. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh endorsed the latest Indian Nobel laureate Venkatraman’s (Venki’s) recent comment during the inauguration of 97th Indian Science Congress held at Kerala University in Thiruvananthapuram’s that Indian scientists needed greater autonomy from red tape and local politics.

“I honestly don’t think my roots in India have much to do with it,” said Venkatraman Ramakrsihan after wining the Nobel Prize for Chemistry for his pioneering work on ribosomes. He was born in 1952 at Chidambaram, Tamilnadu and earned his B.Sc. in Physics from M.S. University of Baroda, Gujarat. Venki left the country to pursue higher studies in the US where he later got settled and attained citizenship.

When asked how students could try hard to equal him and “win a Nobel for India”, he said “That is the wrong question to ask. You can’t go into science thinking of a Nobel Prize. You can only go into science because you are interested in it”

3 Idoits!

I think 3 Idiots! has been the biggest blockbuster of last 5 years.
But unfortunately the film has already gripped under many controversies. The first one was from Chetan Bhagat, writer of 5 point someone from which the film was inspired, asking for a due credit from the producers.....and now the KEM college controversy!!!!!these people have started murmuring that the students were inspired from the ragging scenes of the movie.
nut i would like to ask one question to them is it the first movie that has shown the ragging scene even the film Munnabhai MBBS had shown the same type of ragging scenes but nobody bothered to oppose the same.
I think we have make a habit of opposing the best!!!!
People should forget everything and should demand the government to make this film TAX FREE....!!!!!
